A first semifinal match of the 3rd Grand Royal Challenge Cup 08 Myanmar - Malaysia competed yesterday's 3:00 pm at Thuwana Stadium. Myanmar hammered ASEAN rivals Malaysia 4:1 and reached the final. As a host team, Myanmar had slightly the better of a tight first half, Myanmar moved into the lead after 13 minutes along with Soe Myat Min and Kyaw Thiha, scored first for Myanmar. Malaysia struck back immediately on the counter, Jaffer's free kick shot but Aung Aung Oo saved well. Malaysia last an opportunity as Zambri shot was missed over the goal pole. As likely, Soe Myat Min chipped Malaysia goalkeeper and took second brilliant goal for Myanmar. When the second half began, Myanmar attacked continuously, Aung Myo Thant had a chance to score from the cross of Yazar Win Thein but it was missed. Zainal equalized 54 minutes for Malaysia. At 65 minutes, Jaafer had met one to one with Aung Aung Oo but Aung Aung Oo saved to the outside. Tun Tun Win was replaced by Kyaw Thiha. Just 68 minutes, near the lines, Myo Min Tun scored brilliantly and then Soe Myat Min was injury so Aung Kyaw Moe was substituted. As 79 minutes, defender Min Thu wasted good chance however he didn't use it. When the time was 80 minutes arrived, Zam was picked up a booking because of tackled upon Myo Min Tun and Malaysia keeper saved Myo Min Tun's shots and then Paing Soe was substituted instead of Myo Min Tun. 90th minutes, Tun Tun Win scored but the referee denied it and the match was finished like this result but the crowd's claps Myanmar had got fourth goals at the last minute. Aung Kyaw Moe finished it exactly. This match's man of the match was skipper Soe Myat Min and as second semifinal match, Group B first placed Korea (Hyundai) Group A second placed Indonesia will play 3:00 pm at Thuwana Stadium on today.
