Vietnam Are Champions After Triumph Over Thailand

      
  Vietnam have won the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 with a 3-2 aggregate win over Thailand after holding the visitors to a 1-1 draw in Hanoi.
  Le Cong Vinh got the all important goal in the final minute for the hosts to send the fans wild in Hanoi.
  After winning the first leg of the final 2-1 in Bangkok, the hosts may have been expecting a routine second leg but that was far from the case.
  Teerasil Dangda put Peter Reid's team ahead on the night and level on aggregate with a header in the 21st minute.
  Vietnam, in front of a packed My Dinh Stadium in the capital, threw everything at Peter Reid's men but were unable to get the goal they needed.
  It finally came in the 93rd minute with extra-time looming.
  Nguyen Minh Phoung floated over a free kick and Le Cong headed home to give Vietnam a first-ever regional title.
