Malaysian Olympic squad ready for Grand Royal Challenge Cup

The Malaysian Olympic squad prepared for the Grand Royal Challenge Cup in Myanmar with two preparatory matches outfits recently.

B Sathianathan’s men won the first match against Malaysian Super League champions Negeri Sembilan 2-1 before being held by their u-20 counterparts 1-1.

Sathianathan said he was satisfied with the team’s state of readiness for the Mandalay tournament. “I could not have asked for a better sense of commitment than the results which we got over the past week although I must say that I expected a little bit more in the game against the u-20s,” said Sathianathan.

For the Grand Royal 2006 Challenge Cup from December 17-23, the Malaysian Olympic squad will be up against the Myanmarese under-23s, the Indonesian under-23s and the Merdeka Cup champions Myanmar national team.
