Myanmar U-20 selected team will take part in U-20 football competition which will be held from August 5 to 19, 2005 in Indonesia. I interviewed with the head coach and administrator U Tin Han and asked some questions. Myanmar U-20 team won the third place in the previous Asia-Europe youth football tournament. 26 players of U-20 team are under training. Among those, 18 players have to be selected after the qualifiers with premiership teams. Myanmar are in group (A) with Thai, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei.

Yes, it is. It is the first time for me. |

When will you go to Indonesia? Who will be on board? |
A |
The opening day was changed from July 31 to August 3. So we are going to leave on August 3. There are 25 members in our team including 7 officials and 18 players. |

Will you please tell me your training programme? |
A |
Mainly on fitness and pace, we train for team work. |

Do you satisfy with the preparation? What about the players selection programme? |
A |
Since Asia-Europe tournament ended, we added 9 talented players from premiership. We will select 18 best players after qualifiers with 4 premiership teams. |

Which team will be our main rival among the group (A) teams, Thai, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei? |
A |
That is Thailand. And also Indonesia, the host. Indonesia is sure to be well- prepared. |

Have you already played with those teams? |
A |
Yes, we have. We lost semi-final match with Thailand and won the match with Indonesia in previous Asia- Europe tournament. |

What is your destination in the tournament? |
A |
We wanna be the champion . At least to enter the semi-final. |

How will your team play at Indonesia? |
A |
Our team will play 4-4-2 and 4-5-1. At least 8 or 9 players will support the defence and 5 the attack. |

We have trained very hard and will try our best for our country to satisfy our Myanmar football fans. |
